Hi, I'm Lu Maoting, the founder of LMTea. Welcome to our Oslo-based online tea shop, a small endeavor that I've poured my heart into. LMTea draws its name from my own initials, and it's my attempt to share the profound world of tea and its culture with others.

My journey brought me to Norway in 2020, a time marked by the onset of the pandemic. The turbulent waves of lockdowns prompted me to confront aspects of myself I'd long overlooked. Amidst the quiet moments of introspection, I found solace in a companion that had always been there – tea. Through thick and thin, it stood by me, offering its warmth during the toughest and simplest moments.

This revelation kindled a desire within me. I dreamt of crafting a tea brand that could introduce fellow tea enthusiasts to exquisite teas while embracing the essence of tea philosophy – a source of serenity and equilibrium in life's highs and lows.

In the heart of this journey lies an old Chinese adage, "meet friends through tea" (以茶会友). It resonates deeply with my aspirations.
